📜 Terms of Service

By accessing or using 3 Bucket Budget, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all users: free trial users, paid subscribers, and visitors.

3 Bucket Budget is a live production service.

• Features may be updated or improved over time
• We strive for high availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
• Transaction categorization is AI-assisted and may require manual corrections
• We will provide reasonable notice for significant service changes

Requirements

• Have a valid Google account
• Sign in using Google OAuth
• Grant the necessary permissions
• Be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent)

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain the security of your Google account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Permitted Use

• Upload your own bank statement PDFs
• Categorize and track your personal transactions
• Create budget spreadsheets in your Google Drive
• Set up email auto-import for real-time tracking

Prohibited Use

• Upload statements that don't belong to you
• Use the Service for any illegal activity
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or hack the Service
• Upload malicious files
• Abuse rate limits or overload servers
• Share your account credentials
• Resell or redistribute access

Important: We do NOT have direct access to your bank accounts. You must manually download statements. We are not affiliated with any bank.

Your Data Ownership

• Your bank statements (kept on your device)
• Your budget spreadsheet (in your Google Drive)
• Your transaction data (temporarily stored, then deleted)

Privacy-First Design

• Minimal temporary storage (30 min max)
• PDFs processed in memory only
• Spreadsheets stay in YOUR Google Drive
• Email monitoring runs in YOUR Google account

Transaction Extraction

While we strive for accuracy:

• We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy
• Some transactions may be missed or extracted incorrectly
• You are responsible for reviewing all extracted data

Auto-Categorization

~90-95% accuracy, but you should review all categories before finalizing.

No Financial Advice

3 Bucket Budget is a budgeting tool, NOT a financial advisor. Consult a qualified professional for personalized advice.

We strive for 24/7 availability, but:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability
• Scheduled maintenance may cause temporary downtime
• Technical issues may occur without notice
• Google API outages may affect functionality

Our Property

3 Bucket Budget owns all rights to the source code, name, logo, branding, and documentation.

Your Property

You retain all rights to your bank statements, budget spreadsheets, and categorization preferences.

Pricing

• $5/month after a 1-month free trial
• Payment processed through Gumroad

Cancellation

• Cancel anytime from your Gumroad Library
• Access continues until end of billing period
• Your budget data in Google Drive remains yours

You May Terminate

• Log out and don't return
• Delete your account via Settings
• Revoke app access in Google Account settings

We May Terminate

• If you violate these Terms
• If your account is inactive for 12+ months
• If we detect fraudulent or abusive behavior

Your budget spreadsheet remains in your Google Drive after termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of The Bahamas.

Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, then binding arbitration if needed.
